The institution was established in the year 2001. The College is owned and managed by Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. The college was founded by the late H.H. Dr. Baselios Marthoma Mathews II, the Catholics of the East and Malankara Metropolitan. Presently the President of the College is His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, the Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan. H.H. Catholicos is the President of the Governing Board. The nineteen Governing Board Members are active in carryingout the functions of the college management.
